a new girlfriend, "Lola" a Bulmastiff
Dear Burt, Tracy and Melody:
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to adopt two of your Gentle Giants.
We are so excited to bring them home with us to San Jose.
We totally fell in love with both of the dogs who chose us as their new care givers.
We have purchased two giant Petmate Kennels with the four way locking doors, two leads and two collars with our own tags to add to yours.
Also, we purchased two crib mattresses from IKEA (very good deal, by the way), some blankets from Salvation Army, and of course, several new toys.
We are still contemplating ideas for their food and water station but have many different ones to choose from.
We talked a lot about if we wanted to change their names or not and we have decided on new names for both dogs (subject to change of course).
We decided to change "Sophie's" name to "Donnatella" ("Donnie" for short) because I have always loved that name.
We also decided to change "Chloe's" name but we are torn between two names and thought we might want to wait to see which one she likes.
The two name we picked are "Portia" (pronounced por-sha) because she is just so fast; or "Aurora" because just before we left she fell asleep and she just seemed like our little Sleeping Beauty.
At any rate, you don't need to start calling them by those names just yet because we want to make sure they like the names before we make up our minds.
We were so happy to see how wonderful your rescue organization was and look forward to keeping in touch with you for years to come.
I will also send you pictures as soon as I have a chance to get them downloaded.
We will see you next Tuesday to pick up our new family members.
Also, please let us know how things are going with "Sophie's" spaying.
We are so full of joy to have these wonderful animals in our lives and look forward to many years of happiness with both of them.
You are truly an inspiration and we want you to know we are very proud to know such wonderful people as yourselves.
Sincerely,
George and David
